Your wedding is one of the biggest days of your life, but with all of the excitement and stress, it can fly by in a blur. After the amount of effort and money spent it’s not something you’ll want to forget in a hurry, and so finding ways to capture the moment and preserve the memories are key. Here are a few ways you can go about it!
Ask loved ones to sign a guestbook
A photo might speak a thousand words, but words are still nice too. If you put out a guest book and ask guests to sign it, you have the most stunning, heartfelt keepsake from that day that you can look back on for years to come. It’s a simple idea, it doesn't cost much at all and it's really a memory that you can cherish forever.
Take plenty of photos
Photos are one of the very best ways to preserve your wedding memories and capture the day in detail. Your wedding photographer will, of course, take stunning, professional pictures but be sure to encourage guests to take their own too. Then you could use a wedding photo sharing app and check out the pictures that all your guests made. You’ll have fun being able to see the day from everyone else's perspective and you can even create a lovely photo album based on those pictures.
Preserve your wedding flowers
Wedding flowers are expensive and it’s a shame they don’t last- however there are ways you can preserve some of your flowers to keep. Lots of companies offer this service, meaning you can preserve your bouquet or you could have one or two flowers from the day preserved and framed as a beautiful keepsake. Flowers can be pressed, they can be dipped in wax or preserved in epoxy or silica gel as a way to keep them three-dimensional. It would look nice in your home and is a sweet way to remember an element of your day.
